Lola Fadulu is the David Rosenbaum Reporting Fellow in the Washington bureau of The New York Times. She covers poverty and federal safety-net programs. She was most recently an assistant editor at The Atlantic. Before that, she covered politics for Quartz. She graduated from Amherst College with a degree in philosophy.
