Income transfers that reduce poverty during childhood can contribute to reduced poverty in adulthood and also reduce racial gaps.

This report compares the racial discrimination experiences and racism-related vigilance among Chinese Americans in New York City and California and reveals that over half of Chinese Americans experienced some form of discrimination in both locations. Even more Chinese Americans endured high levels of racism-related vigilance.
The Anti-Poverty Impacts of Expanding Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers
This fact sheet presents estimates of the anti-poverty impacts that expanding the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program could have if the program were transformed so that all households eligible for a voucher would receive one. The Section 8 voucher program is the nation’s largest form of rental assistance, but only about a quarter of households that are eligible for the vouchers receive the benefit.
Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Paid Family and Medical Leave Access and Use
We examine the disparities in paid-leave access and use by race and ethnicity using data from four nationally representative surveys, consistently finding that Hispanic workers have lower rates of paid-leave access and use than their White non-Hispanic counterparts.
