Michael Williams is a Research Assistant at the Center on Poverty and Social Policy at Columbia University. He works with data from the Robin Hood Poverty Tracker to study the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on the day-to-day experiences of New Yorkers. His current work explores the pandemic’s role in exacerbating class and racial inequalities in New York City. Williams graduated with his MPA in Urban and Social Policy from Columbia.
